Google Maps – how to get directions (guide)
Google Maps is at google.com/maps and in the Google Maps app. Search for a place, tap Directions and choose driving, public transport, walking or cycling.

- Open google.com/maps or the Google Maps app.
- Search for a place or an address.
- Tap Directions and choose your starting point; your current location is used by default.
- Choose a travel mode and a route, then tap Start for turn-by-turn navigation in the app.
If it does not work
Wrong location: turn on location services and allow Google Maps to use your location.
No internet on the road: download an offline map of the area in the app before you leave.
